My Portfolio and Updated Resume

I've just uploaded my very own portfolio (so exciting!) and my updated resume.  I'm not sure if either one is done correctly but I've given them both my best shot!! I'm SO nervous about looking at them in class-I feel like we're on Survivor and they're going to choose who's going to stay and who has to leave the island!! Oh well! I can't believe it's our final day as a studio! It's crazy how fast this year has gone!  Well I'm going to get about two hours of sleep before the big day begins.  I can't wait to see what everyone else's portfolio looks like - I am surrounded by some seriously talented people so I'm pretty sure I'm going to be blown away my their amazingness!! I always am.  Well that's it for me.  Just happy and super blessed to be able to be apart of something so cool.  And the nice thing about not knowing how to do any of this is there's only one way to go & that's UP!!!! God Bless!

The Big Day!

My bag was all packed and ready to go!  I can't believe this day has already come and gone.  It's crazy to think how long we have worked on these pieces and the models, sketches, and headaches we have made.  It has been worth it though and it was so exciting to see what everyone had done! All of us did such a great job- I have had the pleasure and honor to work with some seriously talented people!

And my chairs went together smoothly, came apart smoothly and didn't fall apart when put to the test!

My Puzzle Chairs - Completed!

I'm So excited!  They work!  This has been an awesome process to explore.  Can't wait for the 6th - Hope it will pass.  I

Behavioral Setting - The Big Day!

Here it is Folks!  We'll see how this morning goes...

ID Models

Here's pics of my "Puzzle Chair" models - they worked out pretty well just cutting them out of chipboard so we'll see how my design, measurements & everything in between works out tomorrow when I go to cut! I've made a couple of changes so I'm crossing my fingers!

After drawing them out then making models I really like the "Puzzle" Chair Set.

Monday's Lecture Series

Building B & the Mnesiklean Propylaia on the Athenian Acropolis:
Dr. Nancy L. Klein discussed her findings at the Acropolis along with the headway she gas made through her research. It was a very informative lecture that provided me with knowledge that will come in very handy. Dr. Klein discussed what Building B is and how it's a piece to the puzzle as she attempts to rebuild the Acropolis. She informed us of their discovery of the gateway - another vital part to the puzzle that is currently under restoration. Dr. Klein went further into the history of the Acropolis going back as far as the war against the Persians that created such havoc upon the structure & the people inside. Later on the structure wa used aa many different things from a church to weapons storage unit and is finally today a relic of the past. The Athenian Acropolis is a beautiful structure that holds many secrets that have yet to be uncovered.

Sketch Model & Floor Plan of Behavioral Setting

First Time w/ CAD & Laser Cutter

Behavioral Setting

Behavioral Setting House Plans

This project is really near and dear to my heart but it has been really hard brainstorming, planning, etc.  In the end this is what I've come up with.  I really like it a lot and when designing this house I thought of what I would want and here you go!  I hope it goes over well tomorrow.

My Final Micro Dwelling Model - Finally!

This is my first model and really my first structure design.  I'm pretty proud of it.  Through this whole process though I've learned what I can and can't do and what different things to try.  It was a really educational project but a lot of fun with a very late night and a very early morning.
